| While
there could be only one Dean Martin, his youngest son, Ricci, is
continuing to tour with his fun and exciting show that celebrates
his fathers life, Ricci takes you on a walk down memory lane, singing
many of his father's hit songs like “Memories Are Made of
This,” “Volare,” “That’s Amore,”
“Houston,” “Sway” and “Everybody Loves
Somebody Sometime,” just to name a few.
There is also lots of humor
in the style that made us all fall in love with Dean. Ricci’s banter with his
band “The Pack” is very reminiscent of the “Rat Pack” days of old Vegas. During
certain musical segments photos are projected on a screen of Dean's
family life, his Vegas performances and his hit television series, the “Dean
Martin Show,” featuring the biggest stars of the day. Some photos are so
personal that no one has ever seen them outside of Dean's immediate family.
In
a heartfelt segment of the show, Ricci tells the story of Dean and
Jerry’s break-up.
Also shown is an award
winning music video that he directed in the ‘80s for MTV, featuring his father
singing “Since I Met You Baby.”
To add yet another dimension to the show, Ricci includes
the audience in his tribute by stepping off the stage for a question and answer
session, fielding questions about a very private Dean Martin as only his son
could. The Q and A to this day continues to be one of the funniest and
memorable parts of the show.
Ricci
has performed his show at major casinos throughout the US, Canada
and Europe. Dean’s fans, young and old alike, had a rare opportunity
to get to know Dean Martin as never before, thru the eyes of his
son. The show, to this day, continues to receive nightly standing
ovations.
So pour yourself a drink, sit back, and enjoy the
show!
